Malena - La Amante Olvidada
Friday 23rd May 2008
The Mill Arts Centre,
Spiceball Park,

Box Office: 01295 279002
Malena is a waitress at a Buenos Aires Bar. She waits not only on her customers but in her heart she waits or Rodrigo, the lover that abandoned her those many years ago.

A dramatic story embroidered within the beautiful and passionate language of Tango, bringing its music, its dance and its conflicting origins to life.

Patrissia Cuberos, this year joined by Steve Morrall, brings to rural audiences a new, self-contained version of Malena - The Forgotten Lover after its sold-out, acclaimed debut at the Pegasus Theatre in 2006.

Reviews:
"...the tall, indomitable Malena is a memorable figure."

THE OXFORD TIMES

"...Musically the performance was splendid. "
